Text: Ephesians 1
Before you did anything good or bad, before you accomplished anything noteworthy, before you even existed, God set his love on you and chose you to be his own. He didn’t choose you because you were wiser, stronger, or more spiritual than others. Not because of anything worthy in you, but simply because he loved you. Let this astounding truth of election humble you today. You had no role in earning God’s favor. His choice of you was completely undeserved. As the least likely to be called, respond now with gratitude and devotion. He loved you when there was nothing lovable in you.
