Saved for Good Works

We are not saved by good works, but we are saved for good works. Our salvation is all of grace from beginning to end. But this free gift changes us and bears fruit in a new way of living. Grace reigns in our hearts so that righteousness reigns in our actions. Having been shown mercy, we now show mercy. Having received forgiveness, we now forgive. The love of Christ constrains us no longer to live for ourselves, but for Him who died for us. Our deepest joy is found in glorifying God through obedient lives of service.

Questions:

  1. How has your salvation changed the way you live? What new desires, convictions and motivations has it produced?
  2. What good works has God prepared for you to walk in today? What steps of loving obedience can you take?
