In saving us, God intends to “show the immeasurable riches of his grace” toward us (Eph. 2:7). We cannot begin to fathom the depths of God’s mercy or comprehend the tenderness and strength of his love. But we see glimpses of it as he daily pours out grace upon grace into our lives. Even an eternity of worshiping at his feet will not be enough time to grasp the full treasure of his kindness toward us in Christ. Just when we think we have understood the extent of his grace, he will overwhelm us again and again with the realities of his immeasurable love. When discouragement or doubt creep in, remember the infinity of God’s grace toward you.
Questions:
- When have you tasted the “immeasurable riches” of God’s grace in a fresh way recently?
- How can remembering the infinite supply of God’s grace protect you from discouragement when you stumble?
